The brush is loaded —

2023 was an eventful year for me. I had paintings juried into numerous shows at The New Mexico Art League, Masterworks of New Mexico, Encantada, and the New Realism A Contemporary Art Exhibit.
I was invited by my mentors and instructors, world renowned, Hongnian Zhang and Lois Woolley to their home for a weeklong classical drawing boot camp in Woodstock NY, followed by an additional painting workshop given by them in Tonawanda, NY. I have attended this painting workshop with them every year since 2015. I am so excited to announce I have been invited back to their home for more atelier training in 2024. I have made it my mission to learn from the best in the classical tradition since I retired. That being said I had the opportunity to take a 10 day workshop given by New Master’s Academy NMA called The Ultimate Anatomy Workshop for Artists In Santa Fe. This sculpting workshop was taught by world renowned instructor's Joshua Jacobo, Johanna Schwaiger, Rey Bustos, and Glenn Vilppu. For more in-depth discussion and photos of this workshop and the sculptures produced check out the sculpture section of this website.
